Anthony de Goutière – Graduate Gemmologist specializing in the photomicrography of gemstone inclusions – vital for identifying gems and determining the origin of some species. Inclusions and surface etch patterns display marvellous interference colours and strange formations under different lighting. All the inclusion and surface-feature pictures seen on this website are photographed from an area no more than 1½x2½mm.
